Lake Wisconsin, Lodi, and Wisconsin River
are all in the area. Harmony Grove, which is in the township of
Lodi, is situated in a beautiful Valley among gently rolling hills
near the Wisconsin River. Spring Creek meanders through
the City, parallel to the Main Street Area, through Haberman
and Goeres Parks offering trout fishermen the thrill of fresh
clean catch. The Ice Age Park & Trail (Foundation
608-592-1433) runs through and around Lodi. Gibraltar Rock
Park has the most picturesque view of the entire area,
offering a great hike and view when you reach the top.
Located near the Wisconsin River, the bluff rises 400 feet
above Lake Wisconsin to the north. On the south is a sheer
200-foot cliff overlooking a scenic valley.
Lodi is home of Susie the Duck. Lodi (meaning peaceful
valley), was incorporated 6 November 1941 and is located in
the heart of Scenic South Central Wisconsin, in Columbia
County. Lodi is approximately 25 miles from the State Capital
and is currently home to 2,882 residents. Lodi boasts several
beautiful City Parks and a Free Public Pool in Goeres Park.
Lodi also offers a scenic Nine-Hole Public Golf Course (The
Lodi Golf Club 608-592-3757), featuring beautiful views of the
Valley, Bluffs and Lake and River area.

Lodi School District 608-592-3851. The Math Team has placed
highly in past competitions. Lodi's excellent Forensic
program, has earned the Hintz Award (many years in a
row).Lodi also has a local Library (The Lodi Women's Club
Public Library 608-592-4130), featuring Book Club, Story-time,
and Lodi Reads Leopold, among a few of their many
programs.
Lodi is (World) Famous for the talents and skills of the Lady's
Curling Club, and also for our High School Wrestling Team &
Coach & Staff.
The residents around Lodi are serviced by the friendliest,
most Home-Like Residential/Rehabilitation Center in the
State: The Lodi Good Samaritan Center (608-592-3241). The
Volunteer Fire and Emergency Medical Service Team in Lodi
is of the best in the State. Local merchants and an area
Farmer's Market (Friday's) Welcome visitors to the area.
A Mayor and a six member Common Council govern the City
of Lodi which provides a wide range of municipal services
and supports many Civic activities such as: Memorial Day
Parade, Susie the Duck Day, Agricultural Festival, Veterans
Day Parade & Ceremony and the Christmas Market. The
Autumn Harvest is celebrated every day at The Treinen Family
Farm with Hay Rides, A Corn Maze, Pond, farm Animals, all on
a Real Farm!
Everyone who knows the secret of the only Free Ferry in the
United States use the Free Ferry from mid -April thru the end
of November to take a short cut from Lodi to Merrimac. The
Colsac III Free Ferry crosses Lake Wisconsin. In season the
Ferry operates 24 hours a day, 7 days each week. The Ferry is
closed during the winter. An early thaw or late freeze may
alter operation dates. You may confirm ferry operation by

Living near by to Lake Wisconsin and the Wisconsin River is
an added bonus to water-lovers! Fish Lake and Crystal Lake
are also nearby, with public boat access. There are other
rivers lakes and streams to experience, ask any of the Bait
Shop Patrons for info, they will tell you where to fish and what
you need!
